Lee County's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives

Senior Services

Thanks to the Dept of Public Safety, MS Council on Aging, we are able to provide programs and items for the seniors here in Lee Co. Currently we are able to provide eligible Lee Co. Seniors items such as box fans, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, reflective house and street numbers and much more. Please call 662-680-5784 for more information.

Project Lifesaver

We have partnered with the Tupelo Luncheon Civitan Club to undertake Project Lifesaver. This program, which started here in 2006, is set to assist those who are caregivers for Down''s Syndrome and Alzheimer type issues. The program, saves manpower, saves time and saves money, but most importantly, shortens the time frame to where we can assist the missing person. The average search time with this program is 22 minutes. The equipment, which is a bracelet type transmitter that the patient wears at all times, has a capacity of up to a one mile radius. For more information please contact: Lee County Sheriff''s Investigator James Harrelson at 662-841-9040 or Tupleo Luncheon Civitan Member Stephen Thompson at 662-844-7386.

Personal Safety Tipes for Seniors

Senior Safety TipsStatistics show that the older you get, the less likely you are to be a victim of crime. But it still makes sense to take precautions, especially against fraud and con games, which are the greatest crime threats for seniors.
