Medical - This unit is comprised of a physician, a nurse and dentist.  The physician provides medical assistance when needed, dispenses inmate medication and makes medical decisions regarding inmate care.  This division serves both the adult jail and the juvenile detention facility.  We are honored to have a successful partnership with the North MS Medical Family Residency Center.  They provide resident physicians, along with Dorthy McDaniel, RN and Nat Collins, part-time CNP to oversee inmate care.

Food Service - This division prepares menus, checks calorie counts, purchases food, cooks, serves and provides food for roughly 264,800 meals per year.  Approximately 700 meals are prepared each day by the kitchen supervisor and 4 state inmates (trustees).  The trustees are trained in food preparation, handling foods, cleanliness, food temperature and cross contamination.  During season, this division puts up vegetables and fruit.  This division provides meals for the Adult Jail, Juvenile Detention Center and the Work Center.  The Food Service Division gladly accepts all food donations for the inmate food program.

Building Maintenance - This position cares for all the day to day operations of the jail, from repairing equipment to ordering maintenance supplies to maintaining and upkeep of vehicles and the facilities.

Vehicle Maintenance - Kevin Hancock oversees the fleet of vehicles here. The shop on property allows him to do all types of maintenance from monthly oil changes to vehicle repairs.
